The Patient Care Foundation is deeply committed to positively impacting the quality of life of all patients in Los Angeles County.
Through its fundraising efforts, the Patient Care Foundation supports medical education institutions and medical students in a variety of ways improve patient access to care, treatment, and health education by:
1) Helping alleviate the financial pressures of students who were raised in Los Angeles County—with the hope that they will return to serve their communities upon completing their residency.
2) Championing programs that increase access to care and expand the pool of medical professionals in underserved populations.
3) Supporting programs that eliminate health disparities in our local communities.
Over past years, PCF has awarded $100,000 to deserving candidates.
Last year, the Foundation has carefully vetted and selected individuals and organizations throughout Los Angeles County whose work and outcomes are positively impacting the lives of LA County residents and improving healthcare in our local communities in ways that ultimately align with the mission of LACMA’s Patient Care Foundation of Los Angeles County.
Proceeds from the Healthcare Awards will benefit crucial medical student programs at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU). CDU is a private, nonprofit, community-founded, student-centered University. Through outstanding education, clinical service and community engagement, CDU is one of the leading medical education institutions in LA County driving innovative initiatives helping to increase the pool of health professional leaders who are dedicated to social justice and health equity for underserved populations.
